In pictures: Naya Shakti's clean-up drive at Bouddha

KATHMANDU, March 26: The Naya Shakti Nepal led by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai cleaned up the world heritage site Bouddha premises today as part of its 24-week clean-up campaign in Kathmandu.

The campaign with the slogan 'green Kathmandu, clean Kathmandu' started from Pashupati area on March 19.

One of the campaigners Niraj Lama said that the campaign took place from Bouddha stupa at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6 to Jorpati Chowk in Gokarneshwor Municipality today and around five trucks full of garbage were collected.

"The campaign will take place at another world heritage site Patan area next week," said Ganga Narayan Shrestha, secretariat member of the Naya Shakti, adding that the campaign aims at spreading a message that the capital city should be kept tidy through a clean-up drive.
