KATHMANDU, June 29: In yet another incident of road accident today, 17 people including the bus driver sustained injuries after a local bus lost control and veered into the Sesmati River at Balaju. The bus (Ba 3 Ka 3749) was heading to Ratnapark from Dharmasthali.

According to spokesperson and Superintendent of Metropolitan Traffic Police, Surendra Prasad Mainali, those injured are undergoing treatment at Grande Hospital and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.


“Thirteen passengers are undergoing treatment at Grande Hospital while the remaining are at TUTH,” Mainali said adding that they were investigating further into the case.


Earlier today, a jeep veered off the road killing six at Solukhumbu. Further details of the Solukhumbu accident is yet to come.
