One killed after bus plunges into the river

BIRENDRANAGAR, June 19: One person died while two others were injured when a passenger bus plunged into the Bheri river following an accident near Sallibazaar of Salyan this morning. 

The bus (Na. 4 Kha. 5944) was heading towards Sallibazaar from Dharapani when the incident took place at around 6:00 in the morning, police said. The deceased has been identified as the bus owner Ram Bahadur Khadka. He died during medical treatment at Kohalpur. 

The bus driver Milan Rawat and his assistant Umesh Jung Shah were injured. The bus reportedly suffered a brake failure and fell 200 meters below the road into the river, police said. RSS
