(UPDATE with names) Six die as jeep veers off the road in Solukhumbu

Those deceased have been identified as: 

Urmila Bastola (28) and Sushila Khadka (20) of Necha Salyan Rural Municipality-2

Shiva Kumar Yadav (36) of Siraha, Kopila Karki (24) of Khotang 

Jeep owner Shyam Kumar Rai (aroud 42) of Mamba, Okhaldhunga and driver Kusang Tamang (21) of Udayapur

At least seven passengers are feared dead, one of which is seriously injured. 

The jeep had eight passengers.

UPDATE: 9:15 AM

The Bolero jeep, Ko 1 Ja 1806 was en route to Pingla from Salyan's Doli when it veered 1000 meters off the road, according to Hem Khadka, an eye witness said.

An injured child was rescued and is undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Faplu.  

Sub-inspector Udaya Kattel is on his way to the accident site, according to District Police Office.

SOLUKHUMBU, June 29: Six people were killed after a jeep fell off the road at Mahabhir of Tilanga in Solukhumbu. Further details are yet to come as the police are en route to the incident site. 

The jeep was en route to Kathmandu from Salyan's Necha when the accident took place.
