SIRAHA, Oct 4: Following the ban of alcohol in the adjacent Indian state of Bihar, the Indo-Nepal border of the district has become the hub for the illegal trading of the alcohol. Once the Lagadigoth village of the district was the center for the livestock trafficking, now, has developed itself as the illegal dealing center for the alcohol.

With the consent of Nepali security forces, cartons of liquors are first stocked in the markets in the district and in favorable time, they are dispatched across the border and traded in the Indian market.
