KATHMANDU, Oct 7: Inspector General of Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar has departed for the United Kingdom today. IGP Kunwar is accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police Bishnu Kumar KC and Senior Superintendents of Police Dan Bahadur Karki and Shekhar Khanal.
They will participate in the 'Integrated Program for Strengthening Security and Justice,' scheduled from October 9 to October 13, following an invitation from the British Government.

Inspector General Kunwar was seen off by senior police officers, including Additional Inspector General of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
The program aims to facilitate meetings and the exchange of experiences between senior officials from Nepal Police and UK Police on topics such as security, investigation, and justice. Participants will also discuss emerging challenges in crime, the need for appropriate legislation, skill development, and resource allocation to address these challenges. Additionally, the agenda includes discussions on community policing, sexual and gender-based violence, and strategies for addressing crimes against children.
In the absence of Inspector General Kunwar, Additional Inspector General of Police Tek Prasad Rai will oversee the daily administrative operation at Nepal Police Headquarters.
