Kummi Rawat, 23, a resident of Nayakbada-2, Jiri lost her life for lack of proper treatment while she was in labor, as her relatives took her to shamans instead of the doctors.
Rawat, who was in labor for the last three days, had been bleeding profusely.
Yam Bahadur Basnet, a local, said that Rawat lost her life due to ignorance and blind-faith of family members.
