ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup: Nepal to bat first against Pakistan

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Nepal won the toss against Pakistan in the ICC U-19 World Cup.


Captain Dev Khanal won the toss and decided to bat first in the match being played at Buffalo Park, East London in South Africa.

Nepal was defeated by New Zealand by 64 runs in the first match. Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 181 runs.


New Zealand defeated Afghanistan by one wicket and reached the Super Six. On the other hand, Pakistan will reach the Super Six if it wins today's match.


Nepal wants to strengthen its chances of reaching the Super Six by defeating Pakistan. Even if Nepal loses today, the equation is such that they will reach Super Six only if they beat Afghanistan in the last match on Friday.
