"It´s natural to be besieged by those who have been wallowing in the blood of the people for centuries, but what will happen when our own people support that? It is painful," said Dahal while speaking at a function organized here to launch a music video. [break]
The Maoist chief, however, did not elaborate who were joining hands with those wallowing in the blood of the people to besiege him.
Dahal´s remark comes at a time when intra-party rift between himself and Vice-chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai has widened over the issue of government leadership and the party´s general line. Dahal has time and again accused Bhattarai of being pro-Indian.
While arguing that Nepal has been under "foreign domination" for centuries, he said he has been besieged for trying to redeem the country from the clutches of foreigners. He was indirectly referring to India "interfering continuously in Nepal´s internal affairs".
"There are still challenges ahead for the protection of our motherland and the right to self-determination," he said.
