The Maoist Center, however, demanded the removal of the term “violence” from the record after the Speaker’s clarification. Maoist Center Chief Whip Hit Raj Pandey expressed his objection while stating that the federal parliament secretariat should proceed according to the constitution and laws.

Maoist Center lawmakers protested after CPN-UML Lawmaker Yogesh Bhattarai used the term “violence” while referring to the Maoist insurgency period during the HoR session on August 28, which they said was against parliamentary norms.
