KATHMANDU, Aug 22: The scheduled meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) for today has been adjourned. The meeting has been adjourned until Wednesday, according to a statement issued by General Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Bharat Raj Gautam.
As the meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 3:00PM could not be held at the said time due to special reasons, according to sub-rule 930 of Rule 6 of the House of Representatives Rules of 2079 BS, the Speaker called the next meeting of the House on Wednesday, August 23. This notice has been published for the information of the members who have decided to sit at 3 PM today, said in a statement issued by the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Bharat Raj Gautam.
HoR meeting adjourned till tomorrow
The Parliament meeting was adjourned abruptly after the top party leaders who agreed to form a high-level probe committee to investigate gold smuggling could not hold a meeting. The initial draft of the high-level probe committee was prepared by a task force composed of leaders from the three major parties, who convened at Singha Durbar on Tuesday morning. However, the draft is yet to be finalized.
