KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The government has withdrawn its decision to grant public holiday on Friday, the day when President Bidya Devi Bhandari returns home from her state visit to India.
The Ministry of Home Affairs took the decision amid widespread criticisms of the decision of the government to grant public holiday both on the days of the president’s departure to India and her return home.

Earlier on Sunday, the government had decided to declare public holidays for April 17 and 21.
