Kaiser Shumsher was the son of Chandra Shumsher. The late 1890s born Rana became the field marshall in the Nepalese Army, with gaining both national and international honors. Aside from the soldier works, Shumsher was an avid book collector. He used to collect his books at his personal library. Now, 'The Kaiser Library' is open to the public.
