KATHMANDU, June 6: Chairman of All Nepal National Independent Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) Himal Sharma, who is also Free Student Union President of Tribhuvan University Central Campus, has tendered his resignation from the post on Thursday.

According to Manushi Yami, an ANNISU-R leader and FSU secretary at TU central campus informed that Sharma made the announcement demanding the FSU poll at the earliest today.[break]

“The incompetent TU authorities including campus chiefs and Vice chancellor, who were appointed under political quotas, should also resign from the post as they failed to hold FSU polls,” Yami argued.

Sharma made such announcement as part of exerting pressure for fixing the new FSU polls date.

The FSU polls scheduled for today was postponed indefinitely a week ago following a dispute over the admission of fake students in different campuses by the students unions targeting the FSU polls.
