ARGHAKHANCHI, March 17: Panini Multiple Campus has been padlocked by the joint students’ union. According to the campus administration, the campus administration building was locked on Friday morning.

Krishna Bhusal, the leader of Nepal Student Union said that the management committee has not been formed for four years and the administrative work of the campus has been hindered. Due to the padlocking of the campus administration, the FSU election has become uncertain.

“The campus has become a hostage of the political parties,” he said, “We locked the campus after they did not consider our issue.”

The leaders of the students’ union who have padlocked the campus office have said that the campus administration and students’ union have been asking for the formation of a board of directors for a long time.

The leaders representing Nepal Students Union Krishna Bhusal, All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) Bikram Nepali, All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) Sudip Khanal, All Nepal National Free Students Union (Sixth) Jeevan Nepali, majority-led ANNISU-R Padam Nepali, Biplav-led ANNISU-R Hari C were presented to padlock the campus.

The Chairman of All Nepal National Independent Student’s Union (Revolutionary) Sudip Khanal informed Republica that although the students’ union have been trying for a long time to form a management committee, the political parties of the district have not given a solution. Khanal said that the padlock will not be opened until the demands of the students’ union are met.

Since the management board of Panini Multiple campus has not been constituted for four years, the election of the Free Student Union (FSU) has become uncertain.

The campus located at Sandhikharka has been without a management committee for the past four years. Before this, the board of directors was formed in 2016 under the chairmanship of Chet Narayan Acharya.

According to the campus statute, there is a provision to form a campus committee in intervals of every three years. The campus management committee, which was supposed to be formed in 2019, could not be formed at that time due to various reasons.

According to campus sources, the political parties in the district have not shown interest even when the campus repeatedly requested them to form a campus management committee.
