Hello Sarkar takes to social media to listen to  grievances

KATHMANDU, June 27: Hello Sarkar has taken to social media to listen to people’s grievances despite ban on it in Singha Durbar, the administrative headquarters of the government.

KATHMANDU, June 27: Hello Sarkar has taken to social media to listen to people’s grievances despite ban on it in Singha Durbar, the administrative headquarters of the government.


A team led by Under Secretary Pradhyumna Upadhyaya is working on two shifts – a six-member team is working from 7 am to 2 pm while the other team is working from 2 to 9 pm to receive complaints and grievances of the people.

They receive such complaints through social media, toll free number, email and fax before sending them to the concerned ministries.


“We note down complaints that we receive and send them to various departments under the concerned ministries,” Hari Bhakta Mahatara , section officer of Hello Sarkar ,told Republica Online.


Hello Sarkar has already sent 62, 221 complaints to as many as 42 ministries so far. Of them, 55,903 complaints have been resolved while 7318 are yet to be sorted out.


Public can dial at 1111 (toll free No.) to report their complaints to Hello Sarkar.
