KATHMANDU, August 4: There is partial to normal rain across the country in a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and light to moderate rain is occurring in one or two places in the rest of the provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

Normal to partly cloudy skies will prevail across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in the hilly areas of the country and a few places in the rest of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain with lightning at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of wind and storm in some places of the Terai region of Lumbini, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces and some places of Madhesh Province.

Similarly, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain tonight in some places of the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in the rest of the provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain with lightning at one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.The officials of MFD said that there is also a possibility of wind in the Terai area of Koshi Province and a few places in Madhesh Province.
