KATHMANDU, Sept 29: There is a chance of light rain in the hilly areas of the country today.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the low-pressure line of monsoon is currently located in the southern part closer to Nepal so the weather will remain changeable in the hilly areas of the country.

The MFD has said that there will be partial to general rains across the country this afternoon. Light rain with thunder/lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly areas of the country and one or two places in the rest of the country.

There will be partly to partly cloudy skies across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder/lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi and Madhesh provinces and in one or two places in the remaining areas.

The officials of MFD have also requested everyone to avoid possible risks as there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in different parts of the country.
