KATHMANDU, April 22: The weather condition in the country is currently influenced by western winds as well as local winds. 

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) of Meteorological Forecast Division, there is a chance of rain in some parts of the country today.

Partly to normal showers are now prevailing in hilly areas of the country including Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces in the morning. In the rest of the country, the weather is generally clear with partly cloudy skies.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in hilly areas of Koshi province and the rest of the province this afternoon. According to the division, there is a possibility of windstorms in some places of western Terai and a few places in the hilly region after afternoon.

The DHM has said that there will be partial rain in the hilly areas of Koshi province and other provinces tonight. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of the country.

The DHM has requested to take necessary precautions to avoid possible risk as there is a possibility of windstorm in Terai after afternoon.
