KATHMANDU, APRIL 19: The Supreme Court on Sunday adjourned the hearing on the controversy over retirement of eight brigadier generals till Monday.

Justices Anup Raj Sharma and Prem Sharma deferred the cases after the lawyers representing the government did not finish their pleading on Sunday.

In Sunday’s hearing, Deputy Attorney General Kumar Chundal, Senior Advocate Shyam Kharel, advocates Satish Krishna Kharel, Govinda Bandi and Anil Kumar Sinha defended the government decision to pension off the eight generals of Nepal Army.

The Supreme Court is conducting the hearing to decide whether its March 24 stay order in the retirement case should be continued or vacated. In its order on March 24, the court had stayed the government decision to pension off the generals.
