Hearing of Janakpur bomb blast mastermind accused Shah deferred

KATHMANDU, June 24: The hearing of Sanjay Shah, accused of Janakpur bomb blast, has been deferred today.

Shah has been in judicial custody following the rulings from Janakpur District Court and Janakpur Appellate Court.

The hearing was postponed after the government attorney expressed his inconvenience to attend. A joint bench of Justice Gopal Parajuli and Jagadish Sharma was scheduled to deliver the verdict on the issue.He has been accused as a mastermind of the bomb blast carried out on April 30, 2012. Five people were killed while score others were injured in the blast that ripped through a sit-in protest carried out by locals for separate Mithila federal state in new state restructuring.
