KATHMANDU, April 1: Guidelines would be formulated for concerned authorities and business communities to sell and distribute daily essentials to people during the lockdown, said the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

A meeting of Industry Minister Lekhraj Bhatta, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Hridayesh Tripathi and mayors of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Madyapurthimi on Wednesday decided that the Kathmandu Valley and local levels outside follow the same guidelines in selling and distributing daily essentials to people.

As per the decision, metropolises and municipalities, the Food Management and Trading Company Limited and Salt Trading Corporation Limited in the Valley would follow the guidelines in distributing and selling essentials, said Prakash Dahal, spokesperson of the Industry Ministry.

Similarly, local levels outside the Valley would follow the guidelines in distributing reliefs, he added.
