He also claimed the country will not make any headway until political parties continue to give lesser priority to constitution-writing.[break]
Speaking at the Simara airport in Bara on his way to Rautahat, Gachchhadar said, “Three parties have given number top priority to power and made the peace process and constitution-writing as secondary priority, so consensus has not materialized.”
He also said if consensus could be reached between the big three parties and pro-Madhes parties according top priority to the peace process and constitution-writing, the country could be bailed out of the crisis.
Stating that announcement by senior Maoist leader Mohan Bidhya that the UCPN (Maoist) will stay in the opposition was not the official stance of the main opposition, Gachchhadar said if the party´s central committee had made such a decision then consensus could be forged immediately.
He further claimed that Madhes-based parties´ alliance should be given an opportunity to lead the next government if big three parties fail to make any headway.
