KATHMANDU, July 19: The government has annulled permits of 37 contractor companies after they failed to renew their operating licence on time.
Issuing a public notice on Thursday, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, informed about scrapping licenses of the construction firms that breached the government rules. Among them, three are class ‘A’ contractors, five are class ‘B’ and the remaining fall under the category of class ‘C’.

The companies that have faced the government action include Ganapati Group of Construction, Kathmandu; Valley Star Builders, Lalitpur; Deluxe The Brave Warrior of Construction, Kathmandu; International Infra Builders, Kathmandu; Jai Buddha Sherpa Construction, Kathmandu; Excellent Builders, Jhapa; and Sheram Nirman Sewa, Dang.
Likewise, Kushwaha Construction, Siraha; Parul Nirman Sewa, Dhanusha; Dhanakutta Nirman Sewa; Tripura Construction, Kanchanpur; Muktinath Construction, Siraha; Maruti Builders, Kathmandu; Rain Construction, Sunsari; and Sharmila Nirman Sewa, Makawanpur were among others facing government action.
