“Floods and landslides that occurred simultaneously in different parts of the country caused human casualties, destroyed road networks, and made citizens homeless,” Minister Gurung said, “In such a difficult time, the government has mobilized concerned authorities to provide aid.”

He also pledged to ensure smooth transportation services during Dashain and Tihar in coordination with the Department of Roads to work relentlessly to clear obstructed areas.

On a different note, Minister Gurung emphasized that the government is focused on creating an investment-friendly environment, as increased investment will expand the service sector and create employment opportunities. “There will not be policy stability until and unless there is a stable government. Without stability in policies, development and prosperity cannot be achieved as well. This is why the CPN-UML cooperated and forged with the Nepali Congress for political stability,” he said.
