Govt forms talks team as Dr. KC's health deteriorates

KATHMANDU, March 27: The health condition of Dr Govinda KC deteriorated further as his fast-unto-protest entered the sixth day on Friday.

He has been administered artificial oxygen after he complained of chest pain and oxygen level in his body dipped.Following KC's regular checkup today, the doctors have made necessary arrangements to regulate functioning of vital organs. An arterial line has also been setup for various critical responses.

Dr KC might need an ICU support anytime, Dr Dibya Shah who has been attending the doctor said.

Meanwhile, a cabinet meeting today assigned Health Minister Khagaraj Adhikari, Education Minister Chitra Lekha Yadav and Chief Secretary Leelamani Paudyal to address Dr KC's demands.

"It cannot be said as a talk team but the Prime Minister has assigned us to coordinate in the issue," Minister Adhikari added, "We will begin the work shortly."
