Govt extends tenure of four DIGs of APF

The officers whose tenure has been extended include Kamal Giri, Ganesh Bahadur Thada Magar, Kul Bahadur Nembang, and Shambhu Subedi. In addition to this, the Cabinet approved the promotion of Amrit Bahadur Rai, acting secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the position of Secretary.

KATHMANDU, Jan 10:  The government has decided to extend the tenure of four Deputy Inspectors General (DIG) of the Armed Police Force (APF) by one year. The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, December 31.


The officers whose tenure has been extended include Kamal Giri, Ganesh Bahadur Thada Magar, Kul Bahadur Nembang, and Shambhu Subedi. In addition to this, the Cabinet approved the promotion of Amrit Bahadur Rai, acting secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the position of Secretary.

The Cabinet also approved the participation of the Minister of State for Forest and Environment in a climate change program in Rome, Italy, scheduled for February 2025. Other decisions included deputing Joint Secretary Bishnu Prasad Sharma as the Executive Director of the Special Structure Operation and Management Development Committee and approving a negotiation team for the upcoming Nepal-India Commerce Secretary-level meeting in Kathmandu.


Additionally, Deputy Auditor General Bamdev Sharma Adhikari was granted approval to attend a workshop in Manila, the Philippines, later this month.
