Tenure of APF DIGs Dhauvaji and Neupane extended, DIG Giri transferred to Security Council

The government has extended the tenure of two Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of the Armed Police Force, Nepal—Kalidas Dhauvaji and Kumar Neupane—while transferring DIG Kamal Giri to the National Security Council.

KATHMANDU, June 23: The government has extended the tenure of two Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of the Armed Police Force, Nepal—Kalidas Dhauvaji and Kumar Neupane—while transferring DIG Kamal Giri to the National Security Council.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday evening approved the extension based on a proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs. DIG Dhauvaji’s term has been extended until October 10 and DIG Neupane’s until February 12, ensuring that neither exceeds the age or service limit during the extended period.


Meanwhile, DIG Giri has been transferred to the National Security Council following the promotion of Ganesh Thada Magar to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG).
