Gold, silver prices dip in local market

Gold dropped by Rs 3,600 per tola, while silver decreased by Rs 165 per tola.

KATHMANDU, April 2: Prices of gold and silver in the local market fell slightly today. Gold dropped by Rs 3,600 per tola, while silver decreased by Rs 165 per tola.



According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of one tola of hallmarked gold stood at Rs 294,000 today, while silver of the same quantity was priced at Rs 4,780.

On Wednesday, hallmarked gold was priced at Rs 297,600 per tola, and silver at Rs 4,945 per tola, the FENEGOSIDA said. 


Reports from international markets indicate that an ounce of gold is trading at USD 5,200, while silver is priced at USD 85 per ounce.
