KATHMANDU, May 8: The price of gold continued its upward trend in the Nepali market on Friday, marking a third straight day of gains in bullion rates. Silver prices also moved higher alongside gold.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), gold rose by Rs 1,300 per tola today. With the latest adjustment, hallmarked gold is being traded at Rs 299,900 per tola. On Thursday, the precious metal was priced at Rs 298,600 per tola.

Silver prices have also increased. The metal, which was traded at Rs 5,155 per tola on Thursday, is being sold at Rs 5,275 per tola on Friday—an increase of Rs 120 per tola, FENEGOSIDA said.
In the international market, gold is currently trading at USD 4,716 per ounce, reflecting continued volatility in global bullion prices.
