KATHMANDU, Aug. 20: Generally cloudy conditions are likely over the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country today, while partly cloudy conditions will prevail over the Tarai region.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the Himalayan, many places in the hilly regions and some places in the Tarai regions of Koshi and Sudurpashchim provinces.

Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the Tarai region of Koshi province, and at a few places in Madhesh province and the Tarai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.
The weather service stated that the entire country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, and the monsoon trough is located around its average position.
