The meeting of the ruling Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and the UCPN (Maoist) and the Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (Democratic) at Prime Minister’s office, Baluwatar, on Saturday evening, discussed how they could best include the people’s suggestions, said Bijay Kumar Gachhadar, Chairman of Forum (Demoratic).
He further said parties discussed the issues (people’s suggestions) as provision of directly elected president/prime minister, naming and delineation of the provinces, Hindu state or religious freedom, threshold in election, and others.
The four parties, as he said, have agreed to bring the new constitution by 17 August by incorporating the pressing suggestions.
“Now, the constitution is sure- may it be by August 10 or August 17,” he stressed.
The big parties would meet again on Sunday morning. RSS
