KARNALI, March 9: Four assistant professors including the programme director of the School of Law of Midwestern University resigned en masse.

Director Arjun Bahadur Ayedi, assistant professors Sujan Panta, Mahesh Kumar Shahi and Sujata Manandhar tendered their resignation on Sunday expressing serious reservation over the treatment they received from the university vice-chancellor and registrar in relation to the announcement made for new admission for Bachelor’s of Law program for the academic year 2077/078 BS.

They have accused the university vice-chancellor and registrar of undermining their professional integrity, morality, impartiality and ability to make fair judgement for no reason.

Prior to this, students sitting for BA.LLB entrance examinations had lodged  a complaint at the Office of the Registrar citing foul play in both the written and oral tests. Registrar Prof Dr Narayan Prasad Poudel, however, said the complaint filed by the students over the results of entrance tests is being reviewed.
