Former DIG Joshi, arrested in cooperative fraud case, admitted to hospital

According to the District Police Office in Kaski, Joshi was admitted to Gandaki Medical College on Thursday evening after a medical examination advised hospitalization. Joshi was arrested in Kathmandu on September 22.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, who was arrested in connection with a cooperative fraud case involving Pokhara's Suryadarshan Cooperative, has been admitted to the hospital.


According to the District Police Office in Kaski, Joshi was admitted to Gandaki Medical College on Thursday evening after a medical examination advised hospitalization. Joshi was arrested in Kathmandu on September 22.

The police are investigating Joshi, along with former home minister Rabi Lamichhane, for their alleged involvement in cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.
