“It's difficult to say when the statement-taking process will conclude. It could take at least two to three days,” SP Thapa said.
On Monday, the Kaski District Court granted permission to police to keep Joshi in custody for five days for further investigation.
Joshi was arrested from Kathmandu on Sunday and taken to Kaski the same night following the home ministry's order for the immediate implementation of the Parliamentary Special Investigation Committee’s recommendation.
The parliamentary committee, formed to investigate embezzlement and misuse of funds of cooperative organizations, had recommended action against Joshi, the then-director of Gorkha Media, along with others, for cooperative savings fraud.
