'Formation of new government should not be delayed'

BHAKTAPUR, Dec 31: CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Agni Prasad Sapkota has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should tender his resignation immediately to pave the way for the formation of a new government.

BHAKTAPUR, Dec 31: CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Agni Prasad Sapkota has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should tender his resignation immediately to pave the way for the formation of a new government. 


At a programme organized by Rafat Sanchar Club here today, leader Sapkota said that there should not be any further delay on the formation of the new government as the people have already given a mandate to the left alliance for the same.

"Now the ball is in the court of the Prime Minister. The question will be raised on the democratic system itself if the delay in the formation of a new government continued in different pretexts," Sapkota said.

 

Stating that Article 76 (8) of the Constitution clearly mentions that the House of Representatives can form a new government, he claimed that it was not necessary to link the National Assembly with the process of formation of a new government. 


On a different note, leader Sapkota said there was no dispute in the left alliance about formation the of government and party unity. RSS
