Flights resume at Taksar Airport after three months

With a runway length of 545 meters and a width of 20 meters, other aircraft are unable to land. When flights were closed, patients referred from the district hospital to Kathmandu and other passengers faced difficulties.

KATHMANDU, March 25: Flights have resumed at the Taksar Airport in Bhojpur after being closed for three months.


Prakash Khadka, the station head of Nepal Airlines in Bhojpur said that the airport, which had been closed since last mid-January (Poush), has now restarted operations with a Nepal Airlines flight from today. According to him, flights will now operate according to the new schedule.

Since 2035 BS, only Nepal Airlines has been providing services at this airport. With a runway length of 545 meters and a width of 20 meters, other aircraft are unable to land. When flights were closed, patients referred from the district hospital to Kathmandu and other passengers faced difficulties.


Nepal Airlines has stated that one of its two small planes is currently under repair, and once the maintenance is complete, flights will operate more smoothly.
