BABIYACHAUR (Myagdi), Nov 21: In a bizarre situation of its kind, five projects are running here with an aim to connect a single remote place with road network.
The political party leaders' vested interest, locals' demand for connecting their settlement with the major road and failure to complete the past effort to open up road networks have resulted in a pile up of five projects for a single objective.
Five road networks are currently under construction through District Development Committee (DDC) to connect Darwang area to Lamela Taman of Baglung via Sale area. As there are five projects running for connecting the same place, disputes have broken out as to which project should be given priority and this has created confusion, Okharbote VDC Secretary, Ramakanta Ghimire said.
Ghimire added that the budget has been scattered as many projects are running at the same time and there has not been any achievement so far.
The projects are incomplete, useless and a technical blunder as the budget allocated for connecting the geographically remotest corners with access to road network has been decentralized. RSS
