KATHMANDU, May 6: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has announced the 'National Journalism Award' and the 'senior journalist award' 2075 to be presented on the occasion of the National Journalism Day.
Accordingly, former President of Federation of Nepali Journalists Dr Mahendra Bista and journalist Dr Rajesh Ahiraj will be honored with the 'National Journalism Award'.
Likewise, Editor of Ghatana Ra Bbichar weekly Babita Basnet and journalists Kaushal Chemjong and Min Bahadur Budhathoki are to be honored with the senior journalist award.
Minister of State for CIT Gokul Prasad Baskota announced the awards at an interaction held at the Ministry today.
At the same function, State Minister Baskota also released a book titled 'Patrakaritaka Satisal' based on the journalism journey of journalist Maniraj Upadhyaya. The book is edited by Brajesh Raj Sharma, Raghu Mainali, Ghamaraj Luintel and Jeevnath Khanal. RSS
