KAPILVASTU, Nov 14: Illegally imported prohibited firecrackers into Nepal were seized and safely destroyed.
Over the course of one week, the police confiscated firecrackers valued at more than Rs 9.15 million from Pakdi, Chakarchauda, Krishnanagar, Maryadpur, and other checkpoints along the border.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ganga Bahadur Thapa reported that the seized firecrackers were buried and destroyed under the supervision of the District Police.
Despite rigorous inspections at checkpoints, traders continue to attempt to smuggle in firecrackers.
