Fire guts houses in Panchthar

PANCHTHAR, March 22: When a fire from a nearby forest entered the village of Ranigaon-4, it damaged the properties worth Rs 1.5 million.

The houses and cowsheds belonging to locals Dhaneshwor Gajurel and Bhawani Prasad Gajurel were completely damaged. Some cattle were also killed in the fire.


The fire took toll as it could not be tamed on time. It is reported that the police reached very late at the incident site.

Meanwhile, in Gaighat of Udayapur district, a house belonging to Dil Bahadur Nepali from Handiya VDC-5 was destroyed in fire.

The Area Police Office, Handiya, said the fire damaged the properties worth over half million rupees.

The house caught fire while the children were playing with the flame. RSS
