Fire guts five houses, property worth Rs 325,000 destroyed

SARLAHI, Oct 4: A fire gutted five houses in Bramhapuri rural municipality on Thursday. Stored food grains and clothes of the houses turned into ashes in the incident.

SARLAHI, Oct 4: A fire gutted five houses in Bramhapuri rural municipality on Thursday in the district. Stored food grains and clothes of the houses turned into ashes in the incident.



The fire started from Nageshwor Paswan’s cow shed and also gutted houses of Ram Nath Paswan, Chandu Majhi, Sajiwan Majhi and Suraj Majhi.


Nageshwor Paswan lost a goat and a shed whereas Ram Nath Paswan of Mohangunj Tole suffered a loss of 21,000 rupees.

The fire started from Nagendra’s shed at around 5:15 am on Thursday while he was trying to get rid of mosquitoes by lighting the fire.


Property worth Rs 325,000 was destroyed by fire during the incident, said police.
