Fire breaks out at Chobhar scrap collection center (Photo Feature)

Although several fire trucks have been used to extinguish the fire, it has been difficult to control the fire.

KATHMANDU, Dec 10: A fire broke out at a scrap collection center in Chobhar, in Kirtipur Municipality, Kathmandu district, on Tuesday morning.


The fire spread to both the scrap collection center and an area where pigs were being raised. According to Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), the fire has not yet been brought under control.

As soon as the authorities were informed about the incident, a team from the KMC reached the site and initiated efforts to control the fire. Due to the large number of tin sheds at the fire site, it has been difficult to control the fire.


Although several fire trucks have been used to extinguish the fire, it has been difficult to control the fire.


Currently, efforts to extinguish the fire are underway by Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and locals. Further details regarding the incident are still awaited.
