Farmers in Kanchanpur had staged demonstration and sit-in for the past couple of days demanding the immediate distribution of chemical fertilizers. Farmers have put off their agitation after the distribution of fertilizers.
Though the DAP chemical fertilizers required in the district alone is 7,000 to 8,000 quintals, the subsidy for this is very low.
The Company has been distributing Urea per quintal at Rs1, 990, DAP at Rs. 3,381 and Potassium Rs. 2,182.
