KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Process to purchase fertilizer has begun after the cabinet meeting held on Monday gave permission to the Ministry of Agriculture to purchase 50,000 metric tonnes of chemical fertilizer from Bangladesh.
With the government's decision of purchasing chemical fertilizer through the G2G process, the Ministry said that preparation has been made to send an agreement letter to the Bangladeshi government.

Ministry Spokesperson, Dr Hari Bahadur KC said that the process to purchase chemical fertilizer will begin after the Ministry gets permission from the Bangladeshi government. “The Bangladesh government should also make a decision to provide chemical fertilizer to the government of Nepal,” he said.
KC shared that chemical fertilizer of the first instalment might arrive within the next two weeks after completing all due process.
