DHADING, June 19: As the country is grappling with the crisis of chemical fertilizer across the country, farmers on Saturday seized two trucks of urea fertilizer at Dharke of Dhunibensi Municipality-6 in the district. The fertilizer is said to have been imported from the Indian market by evading customs revenue.
Prior to this, the security officials from the Inland Revenue Department had taken the fertilizer under control.

As traders informed the farmers about the fertilizer, some 500 farmers flocked the highway and grabbed some 500 sacks of urea, taking it away to their home.
However, the Armed Police Force personnel managed to save some sacks of fertilizer and kept them in the Area Police Office, Khanikhola.
Likewise, police personnel baton-charged locals to disperse the crowd to resume vehicular movement along the highway.
