Federal parliament secretariat deploys employees in provinces

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has deployed employees led by joint secretary in all seven provinces as part of facilitating operation of the Provincial Assembly in the initial phase.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has deployed employees led by joint secretary in all seven provinces as part of facilitating operation of the Provincial Assembly in the initial phase. 


As per the decision taken following discussions to this effect between Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi and General Secretary of the Secretariat Manohar Prasad Bhattarai, a total of 28 employees, four led by each joint secretary each for seven provinces will go to work from coming Sunday, said Bhattarai.

The move comes in the context arrangement of employees is yet to be made in the Assembly, and the deployment of the employees is based on parliamentary practice and experiences. 


The deployment is the initial move, and the Assembly will have its permanent secretariat, said Bhattarai. 


Of the deployed employees, joint secretariats have been on 15 days deputation, and others on 30 days deputation. Meanwhile, the Ministry of General Administration is preparing to manage employees in the Assembly in the long term, said a ministry employee.
