Nepal Family Party donates 2,000 masks for the safety of journalists

KATHMANDU, April 20: Nepal Family Party (NFP) has donated 2,000 masks to Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) to help journalists stay safe from coronavirus (COVID-19).

KATHMANDU, April 20: Nepal Family Party (NFP) has donated 2,000 masks to Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) to help journalists stay safe from coronavirus (COVID-19). 

 

NFP Chairman Ek Nath Dhakal handed over the masks to FJN President Gobinda Acharya amidst a special function held at the FNJ's Central Office in Sanchargram on Sunday. Chairman Dhakal said the masks were donated as a gesture of support to recognise the role played by the media to help disseminate information to the public despite challenging circumstances.  Speaking on the occasion, FNJ President Acharya thanked Dhakal for the support.

Stating that media persons are forced to work under challenging circumstances due to COVID-19, Acharya said that the government should provide some relief measures to journalists. 


FNJ Treasurer Rajesh Mishra, central member Gopal Baraili and FNJ, Kathmandu District Chapter Executive Council member Bishnu Nishchal were among those present on the occasion. NFP Chairman Dhakal had earlier donated 5,000 masks to the Nepal Army and Armed Police Force (APF) hospitals in Kathmandu.
