Ex-IGP Thapa passes away

KATHMANDU, May 18: Former Inspector General of Armed Police Force (APF) Sahabir Thapa passed away on Monday night. The 61-year old police officer died due to cancer, people close to his family said.



He had been admitted to Norvic Hospital for treatment. Thapa is survived by his wife, two sons* and a daughter.



His body will be kept at the IPF Headquarters at Halchowk in Kathmandu until 11 a.m. to enable people to pay the last homage. The last rites will be performed at the Pashupati Aryaghat with full police honors.
