EPF employee chargesheeted for submitting fake certificates

KATHMANDU, April 16: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday filed a case at Special Court (SC) against an employee at ‪Employees‬ Provident Fund (EPF) for submitting fake and forged certificate while joining  the office.

Issuing a press stement today, the anti-graft body informed that it filed the case against EPF Assistant Head Laxmi Adhikari for submitting fake and forged certificate of Intermediate level (I.A), acquired from Bihar Intermediate Education Council, Patna, India in the year 1995 AD.
 In the charge sheet, the CIAA has sought for maximum punishment under sec 12 and 29 of the former ‪Corruption‬ Control Act, 1961 and sec 16(1) of prevailing Prevention of Corruption Act 2002.
